The Pakistan Meteorological Department :-

The Pakistan Meteorological Department is both a scientific and a service department. Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) was founded in 1995 by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate the development of the local IT industry by extending all possible help to prospective foreign/domestic investors and software companies operating in Pakistan.

The PESB website provides assistance in finding the right company, there is a comprehensive listing of all member IT companies. Over 900 companies are presently registered with PSEB, offering services from data entry to developing highly integrated software solutions. Pakistan Computer Emergency Response Team (PakCERT) :-
The Pakistan Computer Emergency Response Team (PakCERT) is a member of the Asia Pacific Security Incident Response Coordination Working Group (APSIRC-WG). As "ethical hackers", this group provides security alerts,

Computer Society of Pakistan, Islamabad chapter:- The Computer Society of Pakistan is the national body of computer professionals in Pakistan. It is a non-government, non-profit, registered voluntary organization, with it's head office in Karachi, and local chapters in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. Workshop on Urdu Internet Names:- System In collaboration with the Multilingual Internet Names Consortium (MINC) - a non-profit, non-governmental, international organization - and with the support of the National Language Authority (NLA), Pakistan, the Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNP) organised an international workshop on Urdu Internet domain names, keywords and routing in Islamabad on 28th July 2001. This workshop provided a forum for national experts in Urdu informatics to deliberate on the issues of developing an Urdu Internet names system and its applications. Remedial Action Program Information Center (RAPIC):- The Remedial Action Program Information Center (RAPIC) provides technical information support to the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Environmental Restoration (ER) Program. Information includes decontamination and decommissioning (D&D) and remedial action (RA) activities, technology development, and research at sites and facilities contaminated with radioactive and/or hazardous materials. It maintains a bibliographic database, the Environmental Restoration Document Information System (ERDIS), containing technical literature pertinent to the environmental restoration program. Khwarzimic Science Society:- This website provides regular updated information about science in Pakistan. It contains links to the Khwarzimic Science Society (KSS) charter, objectives, membership information, range of activities and important contacts. It also outlines the history of scientific enterprise in Muslim countries and a short biography of Muhammad Bin Musa Al-Khwarizmi. OIC's Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH):- COMSTECH, established in 1991, works with the 56 member states of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to build up their indigenous capability in the fields of science and technology through cooperation and mutual assistance. Survey of Pakistan:- The Survey of Pakistan, established in 1947, is an organization which has been effectively meeting the national requirements in the fields of surveying and mapping. Achievements in this highly technical specialization include digital photogrammetric mapping of Munda dam, Patriata and Karachi; and developing Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Publications include public topographic maps; cantonment, city and guide maps; district, division and province maps; road maps and the atlas of Pakistan. Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC):-  PASTIC is the premier organization in the field of information dissemination, serving thousands of researchers. It is a unit of the Pakistan Science Foundation. PASTIC is also the national focal point for WHO/CEHANET, UNESCO-PGI/ASTINGO, UNEP/INFORTERRA and SAARC DOCUMENTATION CENTRE. PASTIC procures, processes and disseminates scientific and technological information to the researchers as well as provides bibliographic and translation services. Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH):- Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), Islamabad, was established in 1976, as part of Pakistan Science Foundation, Ministry of Science & Technology (Government of Pakistan). The Museum has four Principal Divisions, namely Botanical Sciences, Zoological Sciences, Earth Sciences and Public Services.
